If you optimize your content for the right keywords, there’s a better chance that people will find your website when they search on Google or Bing. That means that more people may click and increase the traffic to your site.
How to choose the best keywords for your blog post.
It’s straightforward to choose good keywords that people are searching for. It would be best if you found keywords that are used a lot but also have low competition.
First, search for a keyword you want to rank for and note it down—next, head over to Google Keyword Planner. Search the keyword you want in the search box and see what comes up. Note down all the monthly searches, avg CPC (cost per click), and suggested bid. After you have some keywords, use this Keyword Tool to determine if it’s worth buying. I used the highest monthly search volume, low competition, and low price bid for my example.
You can then create your post around that keyword or cover many related topics in one post. When you publish your blog post, make sure to include the keyword 20 times. Please don’t overdo it, and make sure to write naturally.
What are long-tail keywords?
Long-tail keywords are longer, more specific terms that people use when they search the internet. For example, if you want to make money online, your long-tail keyword would be “how to make money using Facebook” or “how to make money blogging.” These are more specific, and fewer people search for those keywords.
The benefit of long-tail keywords is that they have lower competition than the shorter, more popular keywords. Keyword research tools and how to use them?

This is a good research tool that shows you the most common questions asked about that keyword. You can then use that information to create better content for your site. And actually, answer the questions your target audience is asking.
You can get an idea of the popularity of specific keywords by checking out Google trends. It will show you the monthly searches for particular keywords. You can then use that information to create better content for your site.
KWfinder is an excellent keyword research tool because it finds long-tail keywords that other tools don’t. For example, I searched for “how to make money blogging” in KWFinder, and there was no result! However, when I searched for “how to make money online,” the page showed how many results were found in the SEO tool. This SEO tool offers you both the monthly searches, CPC, and suggested bids for your keywords.
This tool shows you the top result of that keyword and how they’ve built their articles to get there. Like how many words they’ve used, what their blog outline looks like, etc. Overall it can show you how to build your blog posts around that keyword. And top of that, you can quickly create your blog outline in Frase and save it on your computer.
A step-by-step guide on how to do keyword research.
Step 1: Finding topics and questions to write about.
When you’re starting out, it can be hard to find keywords to use for your website. But there’s a way around this. Look at the questions people are asking about a specific topic in answer the public. Using the example above, if I wanted to start a blog about “how to make money blogging,” you can search on Answer The Public for some questions related to it.
Step 2: Find out what’s trending.
Once you have found some good keywords using this tool, head over to Google Trends and see how popular they are. For example, let’s say I want t start a blog about cooking healthy meals. I will search “cooking healthy meals” in Google trends and find out that it’s trending now, which means people are more interested in this topic.
Step 3: Get the volume and competition of that keyword.
Now you need to find out how much traffic you can get from that keyword. You need to use Kwfinder to search for that keyword. From there, you can see the volume and competition of your keyword. But also some long-tail keywords which you can use to optimize your blog.
Step 4: Create a content plan.
Once you have found a few long-tail keywords, head over to Frase and find out how they use their articles to rank for that specific keyword. For example, I searched “how to make money blogging” in Frase. From there, I can see that they use their blog posts to answer people’s questions related to the topic. This includes the number of words they use, the outline of their content plan, the number of images, etc.
Step 5: Write and optimize your blog post.
The last step is to write your blog articles and optimize them based on the information you’ve got from Frase. For example, let’s say I want to start a blog about cooking healthy meals, And one of the long-tail keywords is “how to cook steak.” The Frase tool shows me that they have used 700 words in their article, has four subheadings, and four images to explain how to cook a good steak. So I can use that as my outline for my blog post.
Now you have your blog post written, optimized, and ready to be published! Congratulations on your first blog post!!
Step 6: Publish it.
Now that your blog post is done, it’s time to publish!! You can use a Blogging Platform like blogger or Medium.com to create a free blog and start publishing!
